Mark Travers, Head Designer:'A big part of the Spring/Summer Season that we are launching is a new sheet sensation called Nashe. It had to be light – it was our main driving force. It had to have a different angle. Still soft, but a bit more dry. We needed it to look a bit more familiar; not so lustrous; a little bit more well-worn. We then worked with craftspeople, the people who weave, finish and make the product. At the end of the process we needed a sheet that can stand on its own two feet and join the ranks of all the other beautiful product that we have. After the choosing a weave and thread count, we set about destroying it – literally! We put it through a sand wash. It goes through a tumbler and we throw in volcanic rock. Out comes Nashe, a completely different beast from when it started. It is now so beautifully soft and with fabulous colour. The subtle tones can't be achieved with just a dyeing process. Nashe's process means that we can say – you will not have shrinkage or colour fade. We're very, very happy with how it has turned out and we hope you will agree.'
